Freed from racing rules, the track-only 296 GT Modificata laps faster than any 296 before it – and includes Club Competizioni GT membership.
Since its racing debut in 2023, the Ferrari 296 GT3 has racked up well over 100 victories at some of the world’s most prestigious endurance races, including gruelling 24-hour epics at the Nürburgring and Daytona. Now the track-only 296 GT Modificata liberates that successful formula from the rulebook to create the most extreme 296 derivative yet.
Owners also receive two years’ complimentary membership, or 12 rounds, of Club Competizioni GT – an exclusive series of dedicated track events open to eligible Ferrari GT racing cars produced from 1989 to today.
Watch the 296 GT Modificata unleash its extraordinary performance on track.
The 296 GT Modificata is based on the 2026 296 GT3 Evo and follows the same principles as the 488 GT Modificata first presented in 2020, allowing it to fully unleash the intensity of the GT3’s performance in a non-competitive environment.
Upgrades to the mid-mounted 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 include revised connecting rods and camshafts, a new air intake and intercooler, turbochargers that incorporate learnings from the 499P Modificata, and an uprated exhaust system. The changes raise the rev limit 500rpm to 8500rpm and increase engine output to 730 cv – some 130 cv more than the rules-restricted 296 GT3 Evo. With revised gear ratios, improved braking and a new front wing, engine cover and rear wing all designed around the extra performance, it’s little wonder the 296 GT Modificata is so much quicker than its racing siblings – some three seconds faster around the Fiorano test track, recording an incredible time of 1min 11sec.
But membership of Club Competizioni GT ensures owning a 296 GT Modificata is about more than chasing lap records, with a non-competitive format that gives owners the freedom to explore the Modificata’s extraordinary potential and work to develop their driving. And with the addition of a second seat and intercom, there’s room for a Ferrari driving coach – or space to invite a guest and enjoy the experience together.
